To me, art is a different way of perceiving the world. Being a mixed-media artist, I use various fragments – paint, paper, textures, found objects, scraps, words and all other media that come along. I enjoy combining different elements, which usually have nothing to do with each other and creating a new life, new meaning and a place for them in a larger story.Very often my works include the connection between reality and illusion, beauty and imperfection, attachment and release. I love finding stories behind everyday objects – those scraps, remnants and feelings left after the experience is gone.I don't limit myself with any particular medium – each idea decides what form it should take. Sometimes the beginning comes from colours, sometimes from a piece of paper, texture, memory or just an emotion that needs to be said.Each artwork is a bunch of fragments layered, transformed, broken and built again. Creating mixed media works, I can build both real and imaginary worlds inviting viewers to see and find their story there because sometimes the most beautiful stories are made out of almost throw-away pieces.
