About ARTSYMUSKII

My artistic journey has always been driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to never feel limited to one medium. About Artsytmuskii's exploration of that freedom on different materials, techniques and ways. I am experimenting with a variety of mediums; color pencils, various types of paint, oil pastels, candle wax, paper, objects, textures, glitter and many more. I see each material as a character and a story, and I love discovering what its story could be a part of. My practice is not limited to the boundaries of any one mediums, but rather I enjoy experimenting with different combinations and seeing how paint can meet wax, paper can transform into a piece, or how an object can find a new home in a piece of mixed-media artwork. About Artsytmuskii is also a process of looking at the ordinary in a new way for me. I enjoy tearing things apart, rearranging, layering, changing and transforming the familiar and overlooked. Mixed-media exploration has become an important part of my creative practice. My works are the result of allowing different mediums and creative expressions to interact, intertwine and create something unique together. Color pencils, acrylics, oil pastels, can meet with candle wax, paper textures, glitter, objects and painted surfaces, creating surprising combinations that I would have never thought of at the beginning of the process. I don't want the material to decorate the artwork, but rather to become part of its story. About Artsytmuskii is a constant process of experimenting, combining, discovering and sometimes even starting over. My creative process is intuitive and I rarely know where one artwork will take me when I start it. Ideas evolve as I go through the process of trial and error, new textures and materials or happy accidents leading the piece in a different direction than intended. I think it is in these moments of leaving the comfort zone and reaching out for new possibilities that some of the best results can happen. For me, art is about taking what is available, asking questions and finding new ways to tell a story. About Artsytmuskii is ultimately a conversation between materials, objects, thoughts and feelings, where the paint can meet the paper, the wax can meet the texture and the discarded objects can find a new home in something unique, beautiful and meaningful. I continue to explore, because I believe there will always be something new to discover, another material to experiment with, and another story to tell.
